Role: Designer/ Creative Director

Objective: A strategic and visual blueprint for the Temi Niran studio—a boutique creative practice working at the intersection of culture, media, and technology. Designed as a magazine-style brand book rather than a traditional guidelines doc, this artifact functions as both a digital and physical reference—part storytelling object, part design manifesto.

The brand development process combined strategic positioning, cultural research, and visual identity design, drawing on heritage aesthetics and contemporary design principles to create an authentic and forward-thinking brand presence..

visual IDENTITY : pan-african-modern

The visual identity development leveraged both cultural research and generative AI tools to create a distinctive Pan-African-Modern aesthetic that feels effortless yet intentional.

Visual Research & Curation: Used Are.na to collect and organize editorial-style images and visual references that captured the desired Pan-African-Modern aesthetic, creating a comprehensive mood board of inspirational imagery.

Design Methodology:

AI-Assisted Visual Development:Used Midjourney with detailed prompts informed by cultural research and Are.na inspiration boards to generate brand book imagery and operational documents. This approach allowed for rapid iteration while maintaining cultural authenticity and visual consistency.

Cultural Research Foundation: Analyzed visual languages from heritage-centered brands across the African diaspora to identify authentic design patterns and cultural signifiers that resonate with our target audience.

DESIGN PHILOSOPHY:

The overall aesthetic achieves "effortless intentionality" – appearing natural and unforced while being strategically crafted to communicate cultural depth, creative innovation, and premium positioning. Every visual element serves the dual purpose of honoring heritage while signaling forward-thinking creative capability.

Brand Personality & Positioning:

Blends high art, media, and African heritage into experiences that feel soulful and visually refined. Rooted in storytelling and steeped in culture, the brand moves with a quiet boldness—personal, nostalgic, and always forward-thinking:
